Adoring the goddess Sowdamman - 'Theesko Thalli Vaesko Thalli'



Thousands of people belonging to the Telegu Devangar Community have gathered in joy and in immense faith to adore and celebrate the procession of their deity Sri Ramalinga Sowdamman. The kumbasheikam was on the 8th, Wednesday. 

The procession started from Nesavalar Colony at 5 pm passing through Mettupalayam Road, North Coimbatore, VCV Road, DHS Road, Flower market, Sukravarpet, oppanakara street and is scheduled to reach Raja Street at 8.00 pm, where the temple is located.

The men of this community pierce their arms and chest with real swords, shouting aloud slogans praising their deity 'Theesko Thalli Vaesko Thalli' which means surrendering themselves to the goddess.
