A construction worker residing in Selvapuram was arrested today for exploiting a minor girl on pretext of marrying her.
The 29 year old Thanikodi, native of Ramanathapuram residing in Selvapuram had been in relationship with a 17 year old belonging to the same area. He has been assuring to marry her and been exploiting the minor girl.
A few months back, Thanikodi left to his native to get him married to another girl. This incident alerted his lover at Coimbatore and she stopped the marriage by citing the relationship between them. She also filed a case against him at the police station at Ramanathapuram district.
The case is now under investigation and is shifted to Coimbatore City All Women Police Station.
