The Kumbabhishekam of Arulmigu Velliangiri Andavar temple Poondi was flagged off today at around 9:00 am.
As a part of the kumbabhishekam rituals, special poojas, abhishekams and mahayagams were performed by priests overnight. Thousands of devotees were seen thronging the temple in immense faith to adore and solicit the divine blessing of the Vellingiri Andavar.
Devotees carried Kaavadi's and preached slogans in praise of lord Shiva. The temple committee has organized special annadhanam for all the devotees.
