Chengapalli to Neelambur six-lane project to restart shortly

The six-lane project between Chengapalli to Neelambur and a four-lane project at Walayar was initiated in 2010 under the Build-Operate-Transfer proposal. The project was halted due to lack of funds by the concessionaire. The NHAI held diverse discussions with the banks to seek funds for the commencement of the project.  It is stated that the project work will commence shortly as a Consortium bank has agreed to sanction the proposal. The total cost of the project was estimated to be around Rs. 850 Crores.

The expansion of roads will immensely help trucks and heavy road containers to commute with ease.
