'Tribal India' an unique outlet showcasing artefacts & food products by tribals

TNAU and Tribal Co-operative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED), Ministry of Tribal Affairs. had signed a memorandum of understanding to set up exclusive 'Tribal India' outlet at Coimbatore TNAU, the first in the State. 



The retail outlet features diverse & authentic tribal artefacts which are sourced directly from tribal craftsmen from nearly 30 states around India. 

The product catalogue covers a wide range of categories from Textiles, Tribal Jewellery, Gift Articles, Paintings, Terracotta & Stone Pottery, Natural & Organic food products, Metal Craft and Cane & Bamboo goods. 



People who have purchased products like honey, jams, squashes, pickles, herbal medicines highly vouch for the quality paired with authenticity. Many in the city are unaware of such an outlet 'Tribe India' that strives towards the upliftment of tribals.

The tribal India outlet operates at the TNAU Campus, and is open to public on all working days between 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
