Manithaneya Jananayaga party protest against Kashmir chaos

The present turmoil in Kashmir after the death of Burhan Muzaffar Wani has disrupted the livelihood of thousands of Kashmiris.

Various political parties have raised their views and criticism on the ruling party on the intense situation at Kashmir.

Today, the 'Manithaneya Jananayaga Katchi' (MJK) staged a rail roko condemning the brutal killing of innocent people at Kashmir. More than 300 party members forcefully tried to enter the railway station, whose attempts were foiled by the Police. The Police arrested 200 plus members and cleared the protest.

The General Treasurer of MJK, Haroon Rashid stated that the innocent people are the ultimate victims of such violent confrontations. He grieved that women, kids and the youth are being tortured by the extremists. He urged that the central Government should call for an emergency all party meet and take swift action to curb the current chaos and reassure the safety of the people in Kashmir. The families of the injured and the deceased should be compensated and judiciary inquiry should be initiated, he adjured.
