No Grievance Day until further notice


With the election commission announcing the date for assembly elections in the state, District Collector Archana Patnaik on Sunday announced that grievance day will not be conducted until further notice.

In a release, Archana Patnaik, who is Electoral Officer of the District, said that petitions will not be received from Public as model code of conduct has been imposed with the clause that no appeals can be made to the government with tenure of the state government ending on March 28.

The Amma schemes has been put on hold and the dates of commencement would be revealed after the elections.

Meeting of officials relating to issues other than elections would also be ruled out.

The administration had also started covering the photos of Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha in government offices according to the rules.
