Should Annamalai be arrested instead of arresting Saidai Sadiq, who insulted women? - BJP state vice-president Prof Kanakasabapathy condemns

DMK spokesperson Saidai Sadiq, in the presence of Minister and senior DMK functionaries, made derogatory remarks against women in Tamil Nadu. The DMK president should take immediate steps to protect the dignity of the women of Tamil Nadu.

Coimbatore: BJP State President Annamalai led a protest in Chennai's Nungambakkam area on Thursday against derogatory remarks against women by Saidai Sadiq. A protest was held demanding action against the DMK cadres. BJP leaders, including Annamalai, were arrested for protesting against the ban.

More than 200 BJP caders, including women, led by BJP district president Balaji Uthamaramaswamy, were detained in Gandhipuram area of Coimbatore for staging a road blockade.

In this situation, condemning the arrest of BJP leaders, including Annamalai, in Chennai, BJP state vice-president Prof Kanakasabapathy issued a statement condemning it.

“DMK spokesperson Saidai Sadiq recently made derogatory remarks against women. DMK president and State Chief Minister M K Stalin has demanded immediate action to protect the dignity of the women of Tamil Nadu for making derogatory remarks against women in Tamil Nadu in the presence of State Minister Mano Thangaraj and several senior DMK functionaries.

In a statement issued here, he said, In the presence of DMK spokesperson Sadiq, state minister Mano Thangaraj and several senior DMK functionaries, He has spoken in unspeakable words referring to four names of senior BJP office-bearers including Khushboo Sundar, Gauthami and Gayatri Raghuram.

He also falsely claimed that the world's largest party, the BJP, was growing up in Tamil Nadu with the aforementioned women in-charges. He also insulted Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

"BJP is a party that admires women. A party that worships the nation as a mother. A large number of women have been given representation in the Modi cabinet. Nirmala Sitharaman, who hails from Tamil Nadu, is India's first woman defence minister. Under the Modi government, women are benefiting a lot. A protest was held on behalf of the BJP's women's wing at Valluvar Kottam in Chennai to demand justice from the DMK against Sadiq's remarks.

At the same time, the DMK has been regularly denigrating the motherland for years. State president Annamalai and women's wing and party office-bearers who attended the protest have been arrested.

Sadiq, however, is yet to be arrested for insulting women. Annamalai and the women who sought justice have been arrested. We strongly condemn the DMK government for this.

He should be removed from the caste party for insulting women and arrested. Minister Mano Thangaraj and DMK functionaries should apologise to the women of Tamil Nadu for not stopping the man at the meeting.

"DMK president and state chief minister M K Stalin should take immediate steps to protect the dignity of the women of Tamil Nadu," he said in a statement.
