Traffic disrupted for 2 hours after a truck gets stuck in a pit dug near Telungupalayam in Coimbatore

While the work on the bridge across the road near the Vaikkal check post near Telugupalayam is underway, the wheel of the Eicher lorry carrying a load of poultry feed got stuck in a pit dug near the road this morning.



Coimbatore: The work of building a bridge and road renovation works across the road near the vaikkal check post near Telugupalayam on Siruvani Road in Coimbatore has been going on for the past one month.



In this situation, this morning, as usual, vehicles were plying on the side of the road and the wheel of the Eicher truck, which was carrying a load of chicken feed, got stuck in a pit dug near the road. As a result, no vehicles could ply on the road.



We could see scenes where vehicles could be seen standing in line one after the other. Therefore, there has been heavy traffic disruption in the area for more than 2 hours.

Following this, a pocline vehicle was called in and traffic cops and staff on duty were involved in the operation to rescue the Eicher truck which was stuck in the pit. But since the truck could not be taken out, additional bogline vehicles were called in.



Due to the incident, workers going to work in the morning, students who can also go to schools and colleges and the general public have been severely affected.
