Coimbatore car blast: Cyber Crime Police seek two-day custody of Kishore K Samy defamatory comments

The Cyber Crime Police have sought a two-day custody of Kishore K Samy who was arrested for posting defamatory comments on Twitter in connection with the Coimbatore car blast incident.

Coimbatore: The car cylinder explosion incident that occurred in Coimbatore on October 23 caused a stir across Tamil Nadu. A conspiracy behind this car cylinder blast incident was revealed in the investigation conducted thereafter.

The body of Jamesha Mubin who died in the car cylinder blast was handed over to his wife after a post-mortem examination. The Jamaats refused to bury Mubin's body who was allegedly part of a terrorist conspiracy. He later cremated on humanitarian grounds.

In this situation, there were reports about Mubin's refusal to bury his body. In this situation, Kishore K Sami who retweeted it had recorded it on the subject of how the Jamaats will bury a person who does not know how to properly place the bomb.

Kishore K Sami's post was meant to stir up trouble between Hindus and Muslims. Knowing this, the Coimbatore Cyber Crime Police have registered a case under Section 153 of the Indian Penal Code against Kishore K Samy for posting defamatory comments on social media just to disturb the peace in society. Section 153 IPC states that incitement to riot and resulting in riot shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or with fine or with such imprisonment.

Even as the Cyber Crime Police continued to investigate, Kishore K Samy who had been arrested was presented in the Coimbatore Criminal Court before Judge Saravana Prabhu and petitioned for permission to take him into police custody for two days to interrogate him.
