The City Police Commissioner V Balakrishnan who was the Chief Guest at the ceremony motivated the students by highlighting that most doctors and nurses in developed countries were from India and South India, in particular.
Coimbatore: The initiation ceremony for the first-year students of Karpagam Nursing College was held in a grand manner at the college premises in Coimbatore. Dr. Vasanthakumar, President, Karpagam Educational Institutions presided over the function, while Dr. Sudha, the Principal welcomed the first-year students.

The Chief Guest at the event was the Coimbatore City Police Commissioner, V Balakrishnan stated that nursing was not only a job but also a service and it was the moral duty of nurses to protect the sick to save humanity. "If as nursing students, you learn not only your mother tongue and English but also the language of any one country, a lot of jobs await you, all across the world. Most of you may come from very humble backgrounds but never think any kind of work is enough.
Come out of that mindset and comfort zone and acquire leadership qualities. Most doctors and nurses in developed countries are from India and from South India, in particular," highlighted the Coimbatore City Police Commissioner, V Balakrishnan.
