Coimbatore car blast case: National Agency officials conduct raids at houses of arrested persons in Ukkadam and Karumbukadai area

At present, the NIA have formed five groups searching in the houses of five of the arrested persons in Ukkadam, Kottamedu, Karumbukadai and G M Nagar.



Coimbatore: National Agency (NIA) officials are today conducting searches at the homes of those arrested in the Coimbatore car bomb blast case in which the main accused Jameesha Mubin was killed in the detonation.

Earlier, while the case was being investigated by the Tamil Nadu Police, the investigation was handed over to the NIA after it was revealed that those arrested had links with terrorist organisations and hatched a terror plot.

Chennai National Investigative Agency officials are investigating the case and conducting raids from time to time.

NIA officials are conducting searches at the homes of those arrested in the case today. In all, nine people have been arrested in the case, only five persons - Umar Farooq, Mohammad Azharuddin, Afsar Khan and Feroz - were brought to Coimbatore last night by the NIA officials.

At present, NIA is conducting searches in the houses of these five persons in Ukkadam, Kottamedu, Sugarcane Shop and G M Nagar. The NIA officials have been divided into 5 teams and are conducting the raid. The raids by national agency officials have created a sensation in Ukkadam and Kottaimedu areas.

Earlier yesterday, he took five people to their homes and took them to the NIA. It is to be noted that after conducting a raid by the A officials, they were taken to the premises of coimbatore police training school and interrogated.
