Newborn baby found discarded into bushes near Perianaickenpalayam

In a shocking incident, a 5-hour-old newborn baby was discarded into bushes behind a private hospital near Periyanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore.



Coimbatore: There is a ground area behind a private hospital in the Veerapandi division near Periyanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore.

At around 7 pm yesterday, passers-by noticed the sound of a child crying from amid the bushes.

When they inspected the spot, it was found that a newborn baby with his umbilical cord intact was found discarded among the bushes.



On information, Periyanaickenpalayam police rushed to the spot and rescued the newborn baby boy with the help of 108 ambulance and extended first aid.

The doctors who examined the baby said that the baby was in good health condition.

The baby was then shifted to Coimbatore government hospital as there was no milk-feeding facility at the local hospital.

Meanwhile, Periyanaickenpalayam police are looking out for the mother who discarded her newborn into the bushes.
