Fire breaks out at Jawa showroom in Coimbatore

A massive fire broke out at a Jawa showroom on the Coimbatore-Avinashi road. Many premium category bikes worth lakhs of rupees, which were left for service, were completely gutted in the fire.


Coimbatore: A showroom selling two-wheelers called Jawa is functioning on the Coimbatore-Avinashi road.

A wide range of luxury bikes are sold and serviced in this showroom. It is learnt that 9 two-wheelers were left for service at the showroom.

A fire broke out in the showroom at around 1 am yesterday (18.01.2023). Then a passerby was shocked to see the fire. He informed the fire department.



The fire brigade rushed to the spot and fought for about two hours to bring the fire under control. However, in the fire, seven two-wheelers worth lakhs of rupees were completely gutted in the fire.

The incident created a stir. Race Course police have registered a case and are investigating the fire. It is to be noted that the showroom did not have a watchman and he came to the spot after the fire spread completely.
