Consultative meeting held for Tirupur Udumalai Mariamman Temple Festival

A consultative meeting was held at Udumalai in Tirupur district about the car festival celebrated every year at Udumalai Arulmigu Mariamman Temple in Tirupur district.


Tirupur: The car festival is celebrated every year at Udumalai Arulmigu Mariamman Temple in Tirupur district.

In this context, a consultative meeting on this year's car festival was held under the chairmanship of USS Sridhar, the hereditary trustee of the temple.

It was decided to fast on March 28, pole-laying on April 4, Thirutherottam on April 13 and Maha Abhishekam on April 15.

The meeting took place at a time when a new chariot has been constructed at a cost of Rs 55 lakh for the Mariamman temple this year.

In the meeting, prominent personalities of Udumalai, Mandaka padidars, upayadars and others participated and gave suggestions for the conduct of the car festival in a grand manner.
