Government bus collides with a road divider near Sulur in Coimbatore

A speeding government bus lost control of the bus near Sulur in Coimbatore district and crashed into a barricade in the middle of the road. All the passengers fortunately survived with minor injuries.



Coimbatore: There is a cross road junction on Trichy Road in front of the Old Regional Transport Office at Sulur in Coimbatore district. Dividers have been placed on behalf of the police to prevent accidents.

In this case, a government bus coming from Trichy to Coimbatore. As he passed the place where the divider was placed, the bus driver tried to avoid hitting the bike that was going ahead.



At that time, the government bus lost control of the driver and collided with a nearby road median (centre median).



While the front portion of the bus was severely damaged, the passengers were lucky to survive with minor injuries.

The injured passengers have been admitted to coimbatore government hospital for treatment.



The police reached the spot and registered a case of accident and are investigating.



Traffic on the Trichy road was disrupted for some time due to the accident.
