Footboard travel of college students irks Bus passengers, they appeal to the Police to prevent dangerous travel near Palladam

The members of the public have demanded that the Police take appropriate action to prevent footboard travel of college students in Palladam.

Tiruppur: A Government Arts and Science College and Government Boys and Girls Higher Secondary School are functioning at Palladam in Tirupur District.

Since the number of students attending school and college has grown over the years, the buses are often seen overcrowded in the peak hours.

Due to the peak hour rush, college students are forced to hang on the footboard of these buses and they often indulge in misadventures, not realizing the danger of such travel.

Despite the instructions of the bus conductor, the college students have been travelling on the footboard of the bus every day throwing caution to the winds.

The members of the public have demanded that the Police take appropriate action to stop this dangerous bus journey by the students before accidents occur due to overcrowding and footboard travel.
