Traffic has been diverted due to widening of Pollachi-Dindigul road near Udumalpet into a four-lane road.
Tiruppur: Traffic has been diverted due to road widening work near Udumalpet in Tiruppur district.
The construction of a four-lane road between Pollachi and Dindigul near Udumalpet is progressing at a rapid pace. The construction of flyovers on waterways on this route is also in full swing.

During the construction of bridges, a temporary road has been constructed and traffic was diverted to it. Motorists are travelling from Madathukulam to Dharapuram, Karur and Trichy on the Kaniyur-Karathozhuvu route.
The construction of a high level bridge near Cholamadevi medu on this road as the main route is progressing at a rapid pace. Traffic is passing through the temporary route as a temporary road has been constructed nearby for the construction of the bridge.

However, the traffic has been diverted from Madathukulam Kazhukarai to go through Vedapatti village to Kaniyur, Karathozhuvu and go back to Sekkan Odai area on the old road.
The highways department has put up a notice board in this regard. As the traffic has been diverted, motorists are separated from the eagle and are again travelling on the alternate route up to the Sekkan Odai.
