Youth hacked to death near the District court complex, another grievously injured

Five special police squads have been formed to nab the gang that hacked to death one Gokul near Gopalapuram near the Coimbatore district court. Another person was grievously injured in the attack.



Coimbatore: Gokul of Keeranatham in Coimbatore and Manoj of Saravanampatti Sivanandapuram are involved in various criminal and ganja cases.



Today, both came to the Coimbatore court for a hearing and went to Gopalapuram Second Street near the court to have tea when a gang of four men intercepted and attacked them with deadly weapons.

Goku,l who sustained severe injuries on his neck and died on the spot, while Manoj has been admitted to the Coimbatore Government hospital with deep cuts on his hand and head.

On receiving information, the Police reached the spot and recovered the body of Gokul and sent it for postmortem CMCH.

The police are examining the footage recorded on CCTV near the spot where the murder took place.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandesh has visited the spot and is conducting an inquiry. It was also revealed that the deceased, Gokul, had hidden a knife in his waist.

A video of a gang of four men hacking the youth to death was on social media.

The murder, which took place in broad daylight near the court premises has left the people of the area in a state of shock.
