DMK Trade Union functionary's car set on fire by miscreants near Mettupalayam

A car parked outside the DMK Trade union functionary Syed Mohammed Ali went up in flames as some miscreants set fire to it.



Coimbatore: Police are on the lookout for miscreants who set fire to a car belonging to DMK trade union functionary at Mettupalayam.

Syed Mohammed Ali is a native of Vallalar Street, Sivanpuram Colony near Mettupalayam.

He has been the district in charge of the Labor Progressive Federation, the trade union of the DMK. He is also an old car dealer.

While Syed Mohammad Ali had parked a Mahindra car in front of his house for sale yesterday.



It was set on fire by miscreants. Shocked by the development, he informed the Karamadai police.



Police, who reached the spot, are collecting clues at the crime spot.

It is said there was some dispute going on between Mohammad Ali with some neighbours over parking a rental car last week.
