Tirupur: A smoke-free beekeeping training camp was held at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences at Pongalur in Tirupur district on Tuesday.

Thus, training was also imparted on how to extract honey without smoke, using water or sugar solution. In addition, an exhibition on ethnographic trap nets, microbial fertilizers and coconut tonic use was also organized by the students of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University under the Village Dhampi programme for the farmers who came to this training camp.
