TASMAC bar employee arrested for assaulting Migrant worker near Annur

Based on a complaint lodged by Dilip Kevat, the Annur police registered a case and arrested Prasanna kumar. He was produced in court and remanded in custody.


Coimbatore: Prasanna Kumar, a TASMAC bar employee was arrested for allegedly assaulting Dilip Kevat, a migrant worker from Bihar, after a quarrel at a TASMAC outlet near Annur.

According to Police Dilip Kewat( 34), a native of Bihar is a resident of Kattampatti near Annur in Coimbatore district and works in a private factory.

He had gone to buy and drink liquor at a TASMAC outlet in Ganeshapuram last evening.

Prasanna Kumar (24), son of Jesu, a native of Sivaganga, who works as a supplier in the bar, had an argument over why the migrant worker had brought a bottle of water from outside and beat him up and also threatened to kill him.

Based on a complaint lodged by Dilip Kevat, the Annur police registered a case and arrested Prasanna kumar. He was produced in court and remanded in custody.
