Coimbatore airport conducts anti-hijacking mock drill

In the presence of District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati at Coimbatore International Airport, a mock drill of anti-hijacking precautionary preventive measures was conducted.


Coimbatore: A precautionary drill was held at coimbatore airport in the presence of the collector.

A mock drill of anti-hijacking measures (anti-smuggling mock) was conducted in the presence of District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati at coimbatore international airport.

How to act in the event of a risk (hijacking) in this case, providing medical first aid treatment, how to deal with terrorist incidents and protect the general public and passengers, Hide and seek to attack criminals, how to exchange information in times of danger, Various events such as the use of sniffer dogs were rehearsed and shown.



A total of 213 personnel including 135 CISF constables, 15 from AAI, 1 person from BCAS, 7 from ATC, 4 from FIRE/AAI, 10 BDDS police personnel and 6 state police personnel participated.



It was visited by the District Collector. He also enquired about various technical facilities at the airport.

Coimbatore International Airport Director Senthil Valavan and Deputy Director of Civil Aviation Safety Sachin Dev were also present on the occasion.
