The Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women conducts district level nutrition awareness competitions in the month of March every year.
In this context, a district level nutrition awareness competition was held at Arulpuram in Palladam taluk of Tirupur district today under the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission Women's Programme.

A large number of women self-help groups from Tiruppur, Udumalaipettai, Madathukulam, Dharapuram and Kangeyam participated in the event.

In this, The contestants showcased a wide variety of food items such as traditional millet dishes, food habits to be consumed by married newlyweds, and foods to be consumed by children.

A wide variety of food items such as sesame balls, millet payasam, besan balls, sattu flour payasam, vegetable soup, etc., were displayed in the competition.
The winners will be taken to the next block-level competition and the winning team will be taken to participate in district-level competitions and state-level competitions, said the Assistant Programme Officer of the Women's Programme.
Certificates and prizes were also presented to the winning team in this awareness competition.
