50percent tax reduction in Pollachi DMK workers celebrate!

Pollachi Municipality, in Tamil Nadu, recently issued an order reducing the tax rate to 50 percent from previously hiked tax on residential, commercial complexes, industries, schools, colleges and vacancies. The decision was celebrated by the DMK workers in the town with enthusiasm as they burst crackers and distributed sweets.

Coimbatore: To thank the Tamil Nadu government for releasing a government order reducing property tax, DMK workers celebrated by lighting fireworks and giving out candy to the Pollachi municipality. In comparison to businesses in other Tamil Nadu municipalities, the property tax in Pollachi was significantly greater.

Traders, members of the municipal council, and the general public, among other political groups, have been protesting this and urging the government to lower the property tax.

In this case, a resolution was approved at the Pollachi town council meeting demanding a reduction in property tax and was brought to the attention of the government.

Accepting this demand, the Pollachi municipality has decreased the tax rate from the increased tax rate on residential, commercial complexes, industries, schools, colleges, and vacancies to 50%. A government order has been released in this effect.

To show their appreciation to the Tamil Nadu government and the Chief Minister for issuing orders reducing the property tax, DMK leaders under the direction of city council president Shyamala Navaneethakrishnan celebrated at the central bus stop by lighting fireworks and giving out candy to the general public.

After that, the vendors organized processions and gave sweets to the public along Perumal Chetty Road, Rajamil Road, Bus Stand, and other locations.
