Murder mystery unfolds: farmer stabbed to death near Udumalpet, Head constable on the Run

Police are looking for Head Constable Senthil Kumar of Pollachi East police station after he stabbed Ranganathan, a farmer, with a knife during a land dispute near Udumalpet. Thali police have opened an investigation and registered a case.


Tirupur : Thangavel is a farmer from the Tiruppur district's Valayapalayam in Ravanapuram panchayat near Udumalaipettai.

A few years earlier, he had borrowed cash on interest from a lot of people and never returned it.All of the people who had given him the money then went to court and filed a case. So, 10.5 acres of his farmland were put up for sale in 2008. It was put up for auction by farmer Ranganathan.

Thangavel continued to stir up trouble after that and refused to give him the land. To get the land back, a judicial appeal was submitted.

The land, according to the court, belonged to Ranganathan. It was therefore determined that it should be independently given to Ranganathan.

Following this, the Thali police station was informed that protection would be required when obtaining the land.



Senthil, the landowner's son, grabbed up a knife and stabbed Ranganathan in two places when the police, revenue department, and court employees arrived to take over the land. Ranganathan was gravely injured. Senthil, the man who stabbed Ranganathan, is a head policeman at Pollachi East Police Station.

The police were likewise surprised by constable Senthil's actions and stopped him. Senthil Kumar, his brother Muthukumar, his father Thangavel, and a man named Sekhar, who had travelled from Pollachi with his henchmen implicated in the murder attempt, escaped the scene.

Thali police have opened an investigation. Ranganathan, who was hurt in the incident, is being treated at the Udumalpet Government Hospital. In a horrifying event, a head constable stabbed a farmer to death at Udumalpet and fled the scene.
