Congress 'Rail Roko' protest in Tirupur comes to an abrupt halt - Parties arrested

More than 100 Congress workers were arrested in Tiruppur while attempting to hold a rail roko protest against the Central government and Rahul Gandhi's removal from the post of MP.


Tirupur: The police arrested congress workers in Tirupur who were staging a rail roko.



Protesting Rahul Gandhi's removal from the post of Member of Parliament and condemning the BJP government for raising its voice against the Central government and filing false cases against

opposition parties, city district congress workers staged a rally from the party office on Kumaran Road and attempted to enter the railway station.



Following that, police arrested around 100 Congress activists who attempted to access the railway station.
