Police investigations revealed that more than 15 cases have been registered against the notorious duo in the past.
Coimbatore: Police have arrested two history sheeters Surya Jagadeesh and Karthi, for snatching a gold chain from Pandiammal, near Udumalpet in Tirupur district.
Pandiammal (65), a native of Kanakkampalayam in Udumalpet was walking down the road from Ponneri to Ayyampalayampudur village at around 6 pm on April 10th when the bike-born chain snatchers robbed her of her gold chain.
The Gudimangalam police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
The accused have been identified as Surya Jagadeesh (26) of Kottur Thensangampalayam and Karthi (26) of Pongaliyur.
Investigations revealed that more than 15 cases have been registered against the duo n various police stations.
The police are also interrogating them for their involvement in some burglary cases in Dindigul district in recent months.
