Women Constables of Coimbatore West Zone let the bullets fly in exciting shooting competition

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of women joining the Tamil Nadu Police, prizes were distributed to the winners of the shooting competition held between women constables working in coimbatore west zone.


Coimbatore: A shooting competition was held among the women constables at the Coimbatore West Zone Police Station.

To commemorate the completion of 50 years (golden jubilee year) of women in the Tamil Nadu Police, a shooting competition was held for women constables working in coimbatore west zone.

The contest was organised by Sudhakar, the Inspector General of Police for the Western Region, to celebrate the golden jubilee of 50 years of women joining the Tamil Nadu Police on the directives of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.

The function was attended by Coimbatore Range Deputy Inspector General of Police Vijayakumar and Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Badrinarayanan.



The shooting competition was held amid the foothills of the Madukkarai hills in Coimbatore district for women constables ranging from women constables to women police inspectors working in all districts in the western zone.

Around 170 women constables participated in the competition.



Inspector General of Police (West Zone) Sudhakar felicitated the women constables who performed well in the shooting competition and congratulated them by presenting them with prize trophies.
