In order to prevent water logging, the District Collector and Corporation Commissioner visited Coimbatore's Lanka Corner area and inspected the construction of additional storm water drains.
Coimbatore: During the rainy season, heavy rain water logging in the Lanka Corner area near coimbatore corporation's central zone railway station often affects traffic.
Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi kumar Pati and Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Prathap visited the area and inspected the construction of additional storm water drains, construction of a septic tank and installation of a high-speed motor to drain out the waste water.
They also instructed the officials concerned to start the necessary construction work immediately.
Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Kanagaraj, Corporation Assistant Executive Engineer Bhuvaneswari, Assistant Town Planning Officer Babu and others were present during the inspection.
