Victim lodges complaint with Podanur police over fraud in purchase of four-wheeler

The Podanur police have registered a case against Suresh, a native of Theni, for allegedly duping Ramesh Kumar, a resident of MGR Nagar in Coimbatore, of a four-wheeler and not paying Rs 6 lakh for it.

Coimbatore: Nachimuthu hails from MGR Nagar on Madukkarai Road in Coimbatore. He is survived by his son Ramesh Kumar (42).

He runs a printing press. Last year, Ramesh Kumar had promised to sell his four-wheeler to Raja's son Suresh (45), a native of Bodinayakkanur in Theni district.

Suresh, who came to Coimbatore, came to Ramesh Kumar's house in MGR Nagar, gave only Rs 10,000 as advance and took away the four-wheeler after promising to pay the remaining Rs 6 lakh within seven days. Subsequently, he did not give the money and avoided taking it even when Suresh called on his mobile phone.

When Suresh came to know that he had been cheated, he lodged a complaint with the Podanur police. Based on this, the police have registered a case and are investigating the fraud.
