4000 candidates to appear for NEET exam at 7 centres in Tirupur district

More than 4,000 candidates have participated in the seven centres set up in Tirupur district. The exam will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.



Tirupur: Around 4,000 candidates have appeared for the NEET exam, which is being held at seven centres in Tirupur district.

Neet, the entrance exam for medical courses, is being held today in various states across the country.

Admission to undergraduate medical courses will be done on the basis of the marks obtained in this examination.



As a part of this, Perumanallur KMC in Tirupur district will be constructed. Public Senior Secondary School, Thirumuruganpoondi AVP Arts and Science College, Solipalayam Little Kingdom School, Tirupur Jayanthi Public Senior Secondary School, Kangayam Road Abacus Montessori International School, Kolipalayam Vidyasagar International Public School and Avinashi AKR Academy School are the seven centres where neet is being conducted.

A total of 465 candidates who have studied in neet coaching centres in government schools have appeared for the exam.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for up to 800 candidates in large examination centres and 400 in smaller examination centres to appear for NEET.

The exam will begin at 2 pm and will continue till 5 pm. The students who will be appearing for the exam have been advised to come to the examination centre an hour in advance.

Students were allowed to enter the examination centre from 12 noon onwards.



Basic amenities like uninterrupted electricity and drinking water have been provided in all the examination centres.

Only hall tickets, Aadhar cards and photographs of students who could come to the examination centre were allowed to carry.

Also, carrying pens, pencils, rubber, etc. is not allowed. Similarly, students were also banned from wearing chains, dhotis, hair clips, anklets and shawls.



It is to be noted that the students, who were wearing half-sleeved shirts and pants, were allowed to enter the examination centre after heavy checking.
