In 2018-19, a restaurant named Murugampalayam Health & Recreation Club was functioning at Palladam in Tiruppur district with permission and a bar in the name of Kokkarako.
Last night, a DMK functionary in Palladam consumed liquor and said that a bottle of beer was being sold for Rs 300 at the bar. He asked the bar owner why he was selling at a higher price.
