On May 27, Puthiya Tamizhagam party will stage a protest in front of all district collectorates demanding the dismissal of Minister Senthil Balaji. Dr Krishnasamy said a rally and a public meeting will be held on June 15 to demand a ban on the sale of illicit liquor.
Coimbatore: Puthiya Tamizhagam party president Krishnasamy has said that a demonstration will be held in front of all district collectorates on May 27 demanding the removal of Minister Senthil Balaji.
Puthiya Tamizhagam party leader Krishnasamy held a press conference at pothigai residence in Kuniyamuthur in Coimbatore.
Speaking to reporters he said,
"As many as 22 people from Perunkarunai and E K R Kuppam villages died after consuming alcohol. This was reported to me by the villagers of the deceased.
Though the people of the village where the fishermen live should not sell liquor, Liquor was illegally sold to the people of the area by another villager with political background and with the help of the police. It is because of this that many young people there have become addicted to alcohol.
A lot of information has started coming out about TASMAC and the liquor being sold in parallel. Liquor is being sold even after 10 p.m. illegally without permission.
Senthil Balaji said that the statistics I can give are wrong. But the EKR Kuppam incident reveals that the multi-lakh crore scam that I have mentioned is taking place. Even though 22 people have lost their lives, no minister has visited the village till now and met the people. Senthil Balaji, the minister of the department, is yet to see. Senthil Balaji should have taken responsibility for the death of 22 people and should have resigned. But he did not give up.
It is not acceptable that no action has been taken against this Minister despite the fact that the blood and sweat of the people of Tamil Nadu are being continuously exploited in violation of the rules. Senthil Balaji did not resign despite the Supreme Court's observation that he had received money for several posts when he was the Transport Minister.
On May 27, Puthiya Tamizhagam party will hold a protest in front of all the district collectorates condemning Senthil Balaji and demanding his dismissal. A rally and a public meeting will be held on June 15 to curb the illegal sale of liquor."
He said"the government has taken steps to demonetise Rs 2,000 notes, adding that only 10 per cent of the Rs 2,000 notes are in circulation at present. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the removal of that too. From now on such announcements will have implications and tensions, including for the poor or the rich.
When the ₹ 1,000 notes were demonetised, the rich easily exchanged them and the poor people stood in the sun to replace them and there were many deaths. The central government should explain what is the loss to the country due to the Rs 2,000 note due to 10% circulation.
Banks will have to implement the RBI order. The RBI should take action against bank officials if banks misbehave. Frequent demonetisation will bring down the value of India. This causes distrust. It will also have an impact on the economy.
It would be wrong to say that this is the case in the whole of India on the basis of the defeat in Karnataka. Even if the reverse is reversed, the results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will not be the same as those of Karnataka in Tamil Nadu.
Senthil Balaji has been given two departments. There is also an unannounced power cut in Tamil Nadu as Senthil Balaji, who turns into a renegade who runs away from various parties, does not take proper care of the power sector. Therefore, Senthil Balaji should resign.
Senthil Balaji also won in Karur. What is the connection between Karur and the people of Tamil Nadu? The loss account is shown by TASMAC, which has a turnover of Rs 44,000 crore. There is no transparency in sales. Senthil Balaji has to give an explanation for buying an additional Rs 20 per bottle. The Income Tax Department has slapped a penalty of Rs 150 crore on TASMAC. The central government should investigate this."
