TASMAC shop in Tirupur has come up with a new idea after complaints that liquor is being sold at exorbitant prices!

Following a complaint that liquor bottles were being sold at exorbitant prices at a TASMAC liquor shop near Iduvai in Tiruppur district, liquor bottles were being sold by issuing a receipt for the bottles after knowing the age of the person coming to buy it.

Tirupur: Following complaints that liquor was being sold at a high price in the Iduvai area near Tiruppur, allegations have emerged that liquor is being sold with a receipt for every bottle.

There were complaints that a TASMAC liquor shop in Iduvai area near Tirupur was charging Rs 30 extra for liquor bottles.

There were also complaints that beer was being sold at a higher price in the bar located in the shop as it was said that there was no stock of beer in the liquor shop.

Following this, office-bearers, including Easwaran, the district president of the non-party farmers' union, gathered at the liquor shop and sought an explanation from the shop staff.

Due to this, there was a tense atmosphere for a long time. There have been constant complaints of irregularities in order to ensure proper sales.

The farmers' unions argued that the district administration would lodge a complaint with the TASMAC administration with the evidence.

In this situation, the liquor bottles are being distributed at the government liquor shop in Iduvai from today onwards after inquiring about the age of those who come to buy liquor.

They are also issuing a receipt for selling liquor bottles.

According to liquor lovers in the area, this is the first time that liquor bottles have been sold on receipts since the day the shop was opened.

They have also demanded that liquor bottles be sold in all liquor shops by issuing a similar receipt as they were charging an additional Rs 20 per bottle.
