The Welfare Association installed 24 CCTV cameras in the Poochiyur Muthunagar area near Narasimhanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore to prevent criminal activity. It was inaugurated by, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Namasivayam at Periyanaickenpalayam for the benefit of the public.
Coimbatore: Periyanaickenpalayam Deputy Superintendent of Police Namasivayam installed CCTV cameras in Muthunagar, near Narasimhanaickenpalayam, with the aim of preventing crime.

In Coimbatore district, the police are installing CCTV cameras in coordination with the local authorities at several places with the aim of preventing law and order and criminal activities. As a part of this, 24 CCTV cameras have been installed across the Muthunagar area near Narasimhanaickenpalayam in Coimbatore.

It was inaugurated by Periyanaickenpalayam, Deputy Superintendent of Police Namachivayam by cutting a ribbon. The event was presided over by Hariharan, president of the Welfare Association. Secretary Devaraj presided over the function. Treasurer Duraisamy welcomed everyone and spoke.

Speaking on the occasion, the DSP said, "Five months ago, I had told you that you should install CCTV cameras in this area. At present, 24 cameras have been installed on behalf of Muthunagar Public Welfare Association.
Through these cameras, the public has collected Rs 1.75 lakh and installed them at 10 places in muthu nagar area to keep a watch on who is entering the area.
The cameras have been installed by its workers led by Venkat, owner of V-Care Systems. They have also arranged for a person to monitor these cameras. Police constable Sasi and the public of Muthunagar area participated in large numbers on the occasion.
