Coimbatore SP Badrinarayanan recommended Goondas Act Takes Action Against Ganja Offenders

Prakash Kaikattu Prakash, a 54-year-old man has been accused of indulging in activities that are prejudicial to public order and public health care. Badrinarayanan, Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, has recommended action against him under the Goondas Act.



Coimbatore: Prakash (A) Kaikattu Prakash (54), son of Alexander of Edayarpalayam, who was selling ganja in Periyanaickenpalayam police station area of Coimbatore district. The prohibition enforcement wing police registered a case against him and sent him to jail.



Kaikattu Prakash (a) Prakash (54)* for engaging in conduct that was detrimental to public health and Public order . Badrinarayanan, the superintendent of police for the Coimbatore District, recommended that the Goondas Act be used to take action against him.

So far, action has been taken against 20 persons under the Goondas Act in Coimbatore district. It is to be noted that seven of them are drug offenders, said The Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore district.

On the recommendation, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati issued an order to take action against the above person under the Goondas Act.

Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police has warned that action will be taken against those found disturbing public peace or acting prejudicial to the maintenance of public health under the Goondas Act.
