Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Director General of Police Sylendra Babu inaugurated two new all-women police stations in Coimbatore district through video conferencing.
For a long time, the public has demanded that an all-women police station be established in the Coimbatore district's Karumathampatti and Valparai areas.

New all-women police stations were established in Coimbatore district on the recommendation of West Zone IG Sudhakar, Coimbatore Range DIG Vijayakumar, and Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Badrinarayanan, and on the orders of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Director General of Police Sylendra Babu inaugurated these police stations through video conferencing. West Zone IG Sudhakar, Coimbatore Range DIG Vijayakumar and Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police Badrinarayanan were present on the occasion.

Deputy Superintendents of Police, Inspectors of Police, Constables and general public of Karumathampatti and Valparai sub-divisions were present on the occasion. In this situation, women police stations have been established in all the six sub-divisions of Coimbatore district.
The district superintendent of police said that this will ensure speedy action against crimes against women and a solution will be found.
