Police apprehend Koniyamman temple thief, praises 2 people who helped in investigation

Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan personally summoned Mohammed Anees and Abdul Subhan from Coimbatore and congratulated them for helping to collect details related to the thief who was identified wearing a towel and which way the thief went.

Coimbatore: Last month, an unidentified person broke a hundi and stole money and offerings from the Koniamman temple in Coimbatore town hall.

The Special Task Force (STF) police examined CCTV and camera footage from all the areas to nab the suspect. Neither the face nor any other signs of the person were found exactly in it. The man was only recorded jumping out of the temple by climbing the wall. emperor

It was not possible to figure out how he got in. The miscreant climbed the wall of the temple and came out, put a piece of drying towel on his shoulder and then went to the Ukkadam bus stand. He boarded a bus to Singanallur and from there boarded a bus to Madurai. Police questioned the conductor of the bus about the person wearing a particular coloured towel.

He went from Coimbatore to Madurai and inspected the cameras there. The police confirmed through the camera that the man finally got down at the Madurai bus stand. When the Special Cell investigated in Madurai and surrounding districts, it was found that the man was Sekhar, 32, a native of Theni, and was involved in various theft cases in Madurai.

The police arrested him. Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan personally summoned Mohammed Anees and Abdul Subhan from Coimbatore and congratulated them for helping to collect details related to the thief who was identified wearing a towel and which way the thief went.
