Police bury the body of a destitute elderly man near Thadagam

Nagesh, a 60-year-old man who had been living in Thadagam in Coimbatore for the past 30 years, died yesterday due to old age. Since he had no relatives, the Thadagam police buried the body.



Coimbatore: Thadagam police buried the body of Nagesh, a destitute elderly man who died in the Thadagam police station limits.

Nagesh (60), is from Kariyamangalam in Dharmapuri. He had come to Thadagam in Coimbatore 30 years ago and was working as a labourer. Nagesh passed away yesterday due to old age.

It turns out that he has no relatives. His Cousin son Kaliyappan said he would receive the body but did not have the money to bury it.



Assistant Inspector Arumuga Nainar of Thadagam police station and constables Karthi, Muniyappan and Palaniswami completed the post-mortem with their own money and buried his body with the help of Jeevashanthi Foundation.
