MP Kanimozhi meets woman bus driver, hugs and congratulates her

DMK deputy general secretary MP Kanimozhi, who was travelling in Sharmila's bus, the first woman bus driver in Coimbatore, gifted her a watch, hugged her and expressed greetings.

Coimbatore: DMK deputy general secretary M P Kanimozhi will attend various programmes in Coimbatore.

As part of this, she met Sharmila, the first female bus driver in Coimbatore, and shook her hand and congratulated her.

Kanimozhi, who was travelling in the bus driven by Sharmila, also interacted with the women who were travelling with her in the bus.

She travelled from Gandhipuram bus stand to the Peelamedu area and gifted her a watch and hugged her and shared happiness.

Kanimozhi told reporters on the occasion,

"When it is generally stated that men and women are equal, will many women drive buses as much as men?" Will they drive a truck? They'll ask all those pointless questions.

It's incredibly encouraging to see a woman demonstrate that she can also drive a bus at such a young age. Earlier, when she spoke with Sharmila on the phone, she invited her to come see her if she ever visited Coimbatore.

I stated that if I come to Coimbatore, I will travel by bus. As a result, I accompanied her on her trip today. I'm very happy.

The first step of work has begun for the opposition parties to come together on one platform and make an important difference. I'm hoping for the best. This is what she said.

Sharmila, the female bus driver, later spoke about it. She got off the bus at Peelamedu and spoke to me because she couldn't communicate much to her while driving. She promised to do anythings he could to help. This makes her really delighted.

Vanathi Srinivasan arrived without saying anything, and surprised her. But Kanimozhi has already informed them that she is coming. The other passengers on the bus were conversing with her and not allowing her to converse with her in the bus. So we sat down and talked to each other so they could talk to me. This is what she said.

This will be followed by the "Cyber Crime Against Women Conclave-2023" at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel College.
