As there is a Kannimar Kuttai Karupparayan temple at Kongalakurichi in Pallapalayam panchayat near Udumalpet in Tirupur district, a theertham was taken to Thirumoorthy hill on the occasion of Kumbashekam festival.
Ganapathy Pooja and Vastu Homam were performed and the main event was held on The 25th at 7 am, the third kaala yaaga pooja was performed at 7 am, deeparadhana at 8 am and kumbabishekam was performed to the gopuram vimana kalasas at 9 am.
A large number of devotees participated in the event followed by annadhanam. The temple authorities had made arrangements for the Kumbashekam ceremony.
