Thousands of trucks, JCBs, poclines, and other machines from various crusher quarry blue metals firms in Tirupur district also participated in the strike at Karanampettai near Palladam in Tirupur district. They have halted their protest in order to draw the attention of the government.

The strike has been going on for three days across the district, affecting more than 100 stone quarries, more than 200 crushers, more than 10,000 direct workers, and lakhs of indirect workers.

In this situation, the office bearers of the respective district associations will meet at the respective district collectorate tomorrow and submit a memorandum to press for their 15-point charter of demands.
