The temple has been locked for a few years without any worship being performed. In this situation, some people went inside the temple and saw a snake of the blood type entering the temple.
The snake lay down wrapped around the lingam in the temple.
Seeing this, the neighbours poured milk on the snake lying around the Lord and worshipped him.
After some time, the snake started crawling from there.
People took it and informed the Dharapuram fire department, and the fire department reached the spot. The snake was caught and stuffed in a plastic pipe and taken away for release in the forest area.
There was a huge commotion in the area due to the snake surrounding the Linga.
