While the petitions and orders submitted by the public and officials at the Palladam Tahsildar's office have been sealed and signed, this incident, where the petitions were set on fire in the back of the office, has sent shock waves among the public.
Tirupur: In a shocking incident, petitions submitted by the public at the Palladam taluk office were dumped in the garbage and set on fire.
Jaisingh Sivakumar is the Tahsildar of Palladam taluk, which comprises 20 village panchayats, at the taluk office at Palladam in Tirupur district. Moreover, it is customary for the public to consider the petitions submitted on a daily basis and then the redressal of the petitioner concerned is found.
In this situation, the people of the area were shocked to find that the petitions and orders given by the public and officials were sealed and the signed ones were found burnt in the garbage behind the office in the premises of the tahsildar's office.
A review meeting was held at the taluk office under the chairmanship of Deputy Collector Sudhan Jainarayanan.
Following this, the public handed over the petitions lying in the garbage to the Deputy Collector who came out of the meeting.
He later assured that a proper inquiry would be conducted and action would be taken. The incident has caused a lot of shock and commotion among the public.
