Tirupur South district DMK on the occasion of 5th death anniversary of former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at Udumalpet, more than 2,000 people participated in the peace rally. Floral tributes were paid to the decorated portrait of Karunanidhi at the Central Bus Stand.
Tirupur: More than 2,000 people on behalf of the DMK took out a peace march on the occasion of the death anniversary of former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi in Udumalpet.
On the occasion of the 5th death anniversary of former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, the DMK took out a silent rally from Udumalai Mariamman temple to the central bus stand.
The procession was led by Tirupur South district secretary L Pathmanathan. The old bus station passed through bypass road and paid floral tributes to the decorated portrait of the kalaignar in the central bus stand area.
More than 2,000 people, including former Udumalpet municipality president and city secretary Velusamy, municipality president Mateen, Gudimangalam North Unit secretary Anikadavu Giri, advocate SenthilKumar, U N P Kumar, Tirupur South district youth wing convenor Jayakumar, Tiruppur south district treasurer Mubarak Ali and others participated in the peace march.
