Coimbatore: A government bus got stuck in a ditch near Podanur as it was being closed properly on the road.

Road maintenance works and laying of pipelines are in progress at various places in Coimbatore Corporation. Accordingly, a pit was dug on the road for laying pipelines near the railway mandapam in Coimbatore-Podanur area.

In this case, it appears that the crater was not properly covered with soil. Meanwhile, a government bus from Podanur to Thudiyalur got stuck in the ditch.

One of the front wheels of the bus got stuck in more than half the ditch. The passengers in the bus were shocked. The passengers in the bus were then dropped off and shifted to another bus.

Subsequently, the bus was taken out of the pit with the help of a bogline machine. Due to this, there was a heavy traffic jam in the area.

The police cleared the traffic jam as soon as the bus was pulled out of the pit.
