We are ready to send trained workers to work - Bihar state government

Officials of The Skill Development Mission of Bihar state interacted with the office bearers of Tiruppur Exporters Association. "We are ready to send trained workers to work and you are ready to join hands with us and we are looking forward to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)," the Bihar government said in a statement.

Tirupur: The Bihar government has questioned whether it is ready to enter into an agreement with the Tiruppur Exporters' Association that it is ready to send trained labourers to work.

An interaction programme was held with the office bearers of The Tiruppur Exporters Association with the officials of the Skill Development Mission of Bihar state at the Office of the Tiruppur Exporters Association on Wednesday.

Tirupur Export Quantity Association President Subramanian, Secretary Thirukumaran, Bihar State Skill Development Mission Additional CEO Rajiv Ranjan, Skill Development Director Sanjay Kumar and various other officials and entrepreneurs participated in the meeting.

Various suggestions were made about the welfare of the workers and employment opportunities for them in the meeting. There has been an increase in the number of people going to various states in search of work, especially from Bihar.

In Tamil Nadu too, especially in Tirupur district, the number of people coming for the knitting garment industry is high. Therefore, the State Government of Bihar is promoting the Skill Development Mission for Workers.

Through this, it has been trying to bring out the talents of the workers by providing them with training classes. In Tirupur district, a large number of migrant labourers are coming to work in the hosiery sector.

There is a situation where such workers are trained for at least three months and then employed. Keeping this in mind, the State Government of Bihar is providing training to the workers through the Skill Development Mission and preparing them to take up the work immediately.

This will increase the number of workers who know the profession. Tiruppur Exporters Association should come forward to take advantage of these workers. Officials in Bihar have said that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) should be signed with the State Government of Bihar for this purpose.

The Tirupur Exporters' Association has said that a meeting in this regard will be held and a response will be given soon.
