Ready to step down if you prove to have worked for 1.5 years - DMK area secretary challenges coalition party councillor

DMK's area secretary M K Hussain has challenged Syed Mustafa, father of Tirupur Corporation's 45th ward member Fathima Dasrin and district president of the Indian Union Muslim League, to quit the party if the allegations levelled against him are proved.

Tirupur: DMK's area secretary M K Hussain has said that he is ready to resign if fathima Dashrin, a member of ward 45 of Tirupur Corporation, is found to have worked for one-and-a-half years.

Syed Mustafa, father of Fathima Dashrin of the Indian Union Muslim League and district president of the Indian Union Muslim League( IUML), who is a member of the 45th ward of Tirupur Corporation, met the media the other day.

He said DMK’s area secretary M K Hussain was obstructing the implementation of development projects in ward 45 area and was trying to encroach on 33 cents of land in Noyyal Street area.

DMK's area secretary M K Hussain addressed a press conference here today. At that time, he said that he has been making baseless allegations against him. Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) district president Syed Mustafa has made false allegations through the media that 33 cents of land is being grabbed.

The case is being filed demanding the division of the land allotted to him. They are tarnishing my name by pointing out the case of the place behind my place which is not related to me.

I have to provide proof that I am trying to invade. If there is no evidence, I will take legal action. It has already been announced that a defamation suit will be filed in this regard.

He has also made a false allegation that he is obstructing the development project work in ward 45 area. I have been taking the lead in various development projects in the area since the DMK came to power even before the municipal elections.

After winning as a member of the Council, Fathima Dasrin went to Bangalore to continue her career after receiving the certificate. Only during the council meeting, he comes directly to the Tirupur Corporation meeting hall and attends the council meeting and then goes back to Bangalore.

So far, he has not undertaken any field study on the development work. His father comes to the place after every development project is completed and takes only one photo and advertises that he has done it. "I am ready to stay away from party work if the charges against me are proved.

At the same time, i will resign from my post on the basis of the work done by the sitting mp in the last one-and-a-half years and contest again in the same area and get a deposit without the dmk's favour. This is what he said.
