'Bharathiyar's dream came true yesterday:' BJP State President Annamalai on success of Chandrayaan-3

Annamalai exulted that a record had been set by the successful landing of Vikram lander on the south pole of the moon, which no one had managed to do, and hence it was a matter of great pride for all Indians.

Coimbatore: Addressing a press conference at the Coimbatore airport, BJP State President Annamalai exulted saying, "Bharathiyar's dream came true yesterday. India has set a record by the successful landing of Vikram lander on the south pole of the moon which no one had thus far managed to do, and hence it was a matter of great pride for all Indians."

Annamalai also addressed various other subjects including the NEET bill and the ensuing tiff between the TN Governor and the DMK. "There is no Governor's role in the NEET bill. It is up to the President to make the decision. The way the DMK speaks to the Governor is not right. What can be done if the Governor accepts the DMK challenge and asks him to come to his state of Bihar? The DMK should not drag the Governor without any connection. The Governor has the power to return the TNPSC Chairman's Appointment Bill. The Chief Secretary has to answer on the nexus between the Governor and the Government. What right does the DMK Organising Secretary R S Bharathi have to respond to this?" opined Annamalai.

"In the past, the world had mocked India but now India has emerged as a unique country. he three who worked on Chandrayaan are Tamilians who believe in nationalism. Not only those who worked in Chandrayaan, but Abdul Kalam was also well-versed in the Tamil language. There is a huge bond between ISRO and Tamil Nadu. The launch pad, which was supposed to arrive at Nagapattinam, was delayed by four hours and went to Sriharikota. It is the duty of the DMK Government to set up a second launch pad at Kulasekarapattinam," stated the BJP State President.

When asked about the 'Padayatra' that started in Tamil Nadu, Annamalai said, "Ponmudy and E V K S Elangovan are not able to walk and are doing politics from their AC rooms. We have walked 128 km in 23 days. The BJP will be the first party to win all the 234 seats. Ponmudy should understand that politics has changed. Everyone wants Modi to become the Prime Minister again. There will be a political revolution because of the BJP's padayatra. The Bible 21 and The Quran 7 have accompanied us on the Padayatra more than the Bhagavad Gita. My pooja room has the Bible and the Quran. For how many days can you call the BJP a Hindutva party? The BJP is a party that works for all. Muslims and Christians have also walked alongside us on the Padayatra. Politics has changed. The field has changed."

Annamalai alleged that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin was responsible for the Cauvery issue. "The Chief Minister enjoys creating the Idiyappa problem in this. All society has come to the fore with excellence. Kalaignar Karunanithi brought up the problem of Hindus and Christians in the Nadar community. It is tcondemnable that the DMK defames a community, for giving a caste identity to everyone is an abominable act. Nothing will happen by waving black flags against the Governor. It is only difficult for the police," he added.

On being asked to comment on the shortcomings of the AIADMK conference, Annamalai said, "The AIADMK conference is an important conference for the party and there must be some shortcomings in the conference, but we have nothing to comment on that," concluded the Tamil Nadu BJP State President, Annamalai.
